You could do this: but with a queen, or you could have the king protect the queen and have the opponents queen up against the corner or side and have the queen right in front of it. I don’t know if that’s helpful or not.
Checkmate with Queen and King only?
Basically you want to get a position where the opponent King cannot "cross the line" of what your Queen guards, get your King in opposition. Their King has to drop back to the 6th rank from the 5th, then move your King to the 4th rank, then repeat the process. (Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to animate this).
@Just_an_average_player136 But when the king is in the corner, you can't put your queen like a knight because that will be simply a stale mate, so when the king is in the corner it should be 2 squares away from the king, you know...

Did you really think I didn't know that
Common stalemating position, Do not move your queen too close to the king that it can't move in the corner, It will be a draw.
White's queen can be in any of the two Squares shown here.
So can you produce checkmate with just a Queen above their King?
So can you produce checkmate with just a Queen above their King? Won't that result in a draw, eventually?

I wonder if someone could please explain how to checkmate with just a King and Queen without producing a draw? I tried so carefully to move each one but I just can't figure it out. I need help with this, I don't know how to do it. Where should my King and Queen be positioned in conjunction with the opponent's King?
