Chess 4

Has anyone seen the board game Chess4?  It is a 4 player game with either teams or free for all.  It's a very interesting game.  I have the board game itself, have yet to play 4 people, have played 3 people with it. 2-4 players can play, going clockwise for each turn.  If only 3 players, then the remaining pieces just stay put.  There are several variations of the game too, if you are playing free for all, and checkmate an opponent depending on the variation of the game you and your peers chose to play you can assume command of that players remaining pieces.  Would anyone be interested if chess.com presented a function for this particular type of chess where 1 player could play 3 others, or even have computer opponents.

I once read in a chess magazine that may be that was the first way chess was played, it is an ancient way. Look interesting.

the game is already taken form in a board game.  I received it as a xmas gift a few years ago.

Ive heard of people playing 4 player chess, but they said everyone would just team up on the strongest player

when played where each player is playing solo (instead of plarnership) it is a viscious game. One player takes a piece on the player behind him and all the others pile on. we call it blood in the water.

But it's fun right!  I have had the board game for well over a year and yet to find enough players in my area to play all 4.  I think I need to start my own chess club.
