Chess analysis app

I'm looking for a good app for analysis. Two features I'd love to have are:

The ability to take a photo of a chess position, (from a book, newspaper, or even a screen), and have that position show up on the app's board. I believe I've read about an app that can do that... or else I imagined it!

And also, an app that can handle variations, so I can basically 'hold/pause' the actual position as I'm going through the moves, then click through a few moves of a variation, then quickly jump back to the position before the variation branched off.

Anyone know of a app, that could do either, or both preferably.
