I have requested a chess chess analysis of one of my tournement games.  How do I go about finding the results of the analysis?

it gets sent to you after a few days

I think that if there was some note next to the sender of each message, it would be easier to identify the messages notifying that an analysis is complete.  Right now I have to go through all of the messages from chess.com to find an analysis.

Can't you just analyze it yourself, immediately, with a GUI and a strong engine?  What am I missing here?

You can go into your games archive, open the game and click computer analysis. If it's already been completed it will open up.

What engine would you suggest?

I would suggest Houdini 1.5a or the latest version of Stockfish, 2.2.2.  Both are free.

Houdini:  http://www.cruxis.com/chess/houdini.htm
Stockfish:  http://www.stockfishchess.com/

Critter 1.61 is also very strong:  http://www.vlasak.biz/critter/

And of course no chess engine collection would be complete without Komodo (http://komodochess.com/) and Crafty (http://www.craftychess.com/)
