Sounds so bad that... it's what I've come to expect from Star Wars.
Chess and Star Wars

A long, long time ago, in a far, far away galaxy ... there were people talking in contemporary English.

Actually they didn't, they spoke basic. We the audience only hear English but they're actually speaking a common galactic language that's different within canon.
Remember that scene in Roots where an American slave was teaching Kunta Kinte English... yet he was speaking English while in Africa? He wasn't really speaking English but his native language, the audience only heard English to make it understandable.

Okay, makes sense ... however, that logic breaks down when watching that other long-running sci-fi series with 'Star' in its title.
"Captain Kirk, we receive an interstellar video message from the Prime Ambassador of Buttflaps 13, a remote solar system in the Dingbat quadrant!"
"On the screen with him, Chekov!"
--intermission noises--
"Yo Kirk, Buttflaps is lovely this time of year, you should totally pay us a visit!"
But I get, it's for the sake of convenience for the general audience.

So what does this female sith enemy look like?
it is the lady with the red lightsaber in this trailer:

I have a Star Wars chess set. The game in which Chewbacca defeats R2-D2 by using his own brand of "the Force" is interesting too. As for a plot line in which Luke is held captive for 30 years, doesn't match the story line of the first 6 movies.

That’s where the universal translator comes in. All alien languages are translated into English before they’re broadcast to Kirk and the crew. Kinda like Google translation without all the fun incoherencies.

i don't like those discussions where they argue which is a faster ship
Millenium falcon or star wars enterprise
someone at my school has a star wars pajamas

Of course not, the movies have been translated for our convenience.

I never liked those my daddy is bigger than your daddy and will kick your daddy's butt, arguments either.....
...however, if warp is equal to the speed of light, the newer model Enterprise would be probably in theory be faster but, if the Empirial Star Destroyers were reknowned for being faster than any other vessel that could make the jump to light speed, yet the Falcon was still faster... who, knows if we are talking strictly about the first model of Enterprise ?
Maybe I like the my daddy can kick your daddy's butt arguments better ?

I would say the Falcon is faster than the Enterprise because Star Trek is set in the 24th century whereas the Star Wars universe had warp drive for many thousands of years. That's quite a bit of time to develop sophisticated warp technologies. The Falcon only goes .5 past light speed, but remember that's only outside of warp, in hyperspace it would smoke the Enterprise logically.

So, if .5 or 50% faster than light speed represents the speed of the Falcon and the later model Enterprise would easily go to warp factor 9, that would be 9 times the speed of light. I have news for you, if you are going 45mph on a gravel road or paved road, it is still 45 mph. You babbling about speed in hyperspace being different than in ordinary space is irrelevant. Besides, Scotty could reconfigure the dilithium crystals on the original Enterprise model to easily exceed warp 1.5, Han would still be working on his hyper drive, waiting on his navi-computer, trying to get the coordinates...
In Star Trek the values of Warp Factors higher than 1 tended to wander around a bit.
Warp Factor 1 is faster than light.
Warp Factor 5 is "a bit more" than five times "faster" than Warp Factor 1 on any scale used in Star Trek ...

having a fast ship might be cool
but star wars has better weapons. the death star can blow up entire planets
but the borg cube ship could not do that.
plus a jedi could just use his hands to force push or use force lightning to kill a borg, klingon, or a lt. commander data anyway
They had a scene in the original star wars where people were playing chess on a space ship.
Is the new star wars movie going to feature chess in it?
I read on the Internet that the plot line for episode 7 is as follows:
Luke is being held capture for 30 years by Sith inquistors. They are all looking for him. Captain Solo lost the millenium falcon to someone else due to a card game. Now Solo pilots a super star destroyer. There is going to be a female sith enemy in the film. She finds Luke's hand and light saber from the Empire Strikes Back. And uses it as bait to convince Captain Solo to fly her around the universe to look for Luke. The End.
Hopefully they find some time to play a game of chess or two along the way.
