I suppose a first question is what would YOU like to see on a Youtube chess channel?
Chess and YouTube
I've never made a youtube video, but here are some tips concerning things I dislike about people who seem new to it:
Don't speak too fast or too slow. You could have a friend listen to the video before you post it.
Speak clearly and at a good volume. You may want to buy a microphone (or one that didn't cost $10 )
Have a target audience in mind. Who do you imagine watching? Usually this is something like age group and education level, but here you'd probably want to ask yourself what rating.
Have a main idea to keep the video focused. If it's educational choose a main topic. If it's entertaining choose humor, drama, action, etc.
Hi guys I want to start a chess channel on Youtube. What kinds of chess videos would you watch? What kinds of things are you looking for in a chess channel on YouTube?
Thanks for any advice and imformation. Much appreciated.
