chess app hangs forever

when starting new game , the timer is started but does not allow me to move my pieces. when I abort, it takes a while and later shows a fair play message which is absurd.
also, during a game , the timer runs but the app hangs a lot even in a very good internet connection....I have lost a number of games due to slowness of the app
