Chess just ain't my thing. I don't particularity like it. I'm wasting my time on this site. I regret getting an annual membership. By the way, your post doesn't make a lot of sense.

Wasting your time on something you don't like seems a bit silly even if you did pay a bit of money on it.

That's why I just resigned all my games.

Why not resign yourself from the forums as well?

Because I never declared that I was sick of them.

woodshover, I for one, don't want you to leave the forums. You are much more entertaining than bar-hopping and listening to pick-up lines all night!Laughing

jerry2468

Don't leave! If all the trolls go then we'll only have boring old posts of puzzles and analysis! Our minds will vegetate!

Because chess is fertilizer.

From the way you look, there's not enough liquor in the world for you to hear one.Laughing

You need to play for 10,000 hours.

And study tactics. Do you know what opposition is? Triangulation? Have you tried to memorize some rook endings? Do you play through master games? You have to put some effort in if you want to improve not just whine on forum threads.

woodshover, I wouldn't have resigned your position in your game against staermose. Your opponent was a piece up, sure, but your position was pretty secure. That's where you just say: 'I'll make a strong attack on the uncastled king that is now on Q1, because I have an open b-file to double my rooks.' You have to remember that your opponent will be thinking that they should win the game with an extra piece, your job at that point is to make them show you that they can! Play cautiously and deliberately, and they may make not just one mistake, but a series of mistakes! If not, then losing a ton of games is typical of every chessplayer!

Hey, no fair. Only one of us has their picture up.

Let's see the mug that's supposedly getting the guys to line up for you during your 2-3 hour absence from the computer per day.

I see between 500-1000 people per week, every week, from all over the globe. Putting a picture of myself on the internet in that situation lacks foresight. Not everyone lives in their mom's basement.Laughing

I don't get it what do you mean by fertelizer?

How would you know? You've been here three weeks, for cry-en out loud!!!!!  As for posters one through 15, you are all invited to grab your cheesy tortilla chips and munch down on this lovely hot sauce, I'll post below. Here it comes.

I suspect this reply is orange colored seeing AS I'm not seeing IT. I'm colorblind orange-wise which also means I have trouble seeing certain kinds of fruit and far worse; buddhist monks in my street.

This obviously affects my every day life. I'll hear a humming noise quite close to me and I realize this is the monks chanting, but... I DON'T SEE 'EM! WHERE ARE THEY?!

So anyways... In case this was a haiku poem of sorts, I apologize for my inabilities regarding the reading part of the transaction.

P.S. I can post a note from my doctor if you don't believe me.

Sometimes, a lot of fun, orangehonda. Sometimes a soap-opera, sometimes just a bunch of BS. But hey, it's better than being a teacherWink
