Chess Bazaar releases 1930s-70s Hastings Chess Congress Set.

They have announced this set in conjunction with Michael Ladzinski. What do you guys think? It looks like that the set was very popular in the 1950s. Here are the official pictures of it.

My set is on the way and I will post pics and my thoughts when I get it. I'm disappointed ChessBazaar didn't make the knights with glass eyes. But overall they made a fabulous reproduction.  Its amazing the original sets were used in the prestigious  premier section of the Hastings Chess Congress for almost 40 straight years. And what an unbelievable history behind the Hastings tournaments with just about every  world champion including Capablanca, Tal, Smyslov, Spassky. Steinitz, Petrosian, Botvinnik, Lasker, Alekhine, Euwe and Karpov having participated.
