I usually play indoors. I'm eager to see if people like playing in the rain, snow, or wind.
Chess best weather

Good question. Right now my windows are open letting in the cool fresh air, which helps me think. But at the same time I feel guilty that I am not outside. I could play OTB outside in a park but then I might be distracted by all the sights. So I can imagine a rainy day being conducive to chess playing.

I think any weather would be alright just as long as it's indoors with only enough windows to provide sufficient lighting. I prefer indoors since you're not distracted much by the temperature, sightings, wind, or bugs.

I like playing while it's raining, but I love the rain so much that I seem to do just about everything when it's raining:)

My favorite is playing chess in a doughnut shop when business is slow and it's raining outside. Snow is too distracting because I like to watch it while it's falling.
(A few times, I have even played chess through the whole night until the morning crowd started coming in.)

I applaud you.
I can't do much when I'm in the rain except to get soaked.
What weather do you think is best for playing chess ?
