 This has got to be the coolest chess varient out there! Chess and boxing, the two most intense sports combined into one championship! 2 players alternate rounds of boxing and chess playing. The winner is the first player to knock out or checkmate the other, and tie on the chess board goes to winner of the boxing round. If they drew the game and tied in the boxing ring, win goes to black! check out the pictures on the otherside of the link above. I think I'm going to have to get my friends to play this with me.

that would be so narley! I would love to see a televised match of this. I love it how the contestants wore headphones during the chess match to drown out the crowd who were yelling for piece sacrifices!

Unsuccessful chess players who think they can box, and unsuccessful boxers who think they can play chess? Not for me, but interesting concept, and its always good to see chess in the public's eye.
