Chess Buddy in Dublin?

Hey guys,

I'm entering my first tournament at the end of the month (Gonzaga Chess Classic in Dublin) and I would love to find a fellow chess enthusiast in Dublin to practice with, in preparation for the event. If anyone is interested, get back to me! :)

Do chess buddies in Ireland play chess, or do they just drink?

Irish men, unlike most, can multitask

On topic, there's plenty of clubs in and around Dublin ( http://www.leinsterchess.com/clubs/index.htm ), I'm sure there's someone among them willing to play with you.

I'd love to be able to make it up to Gonzaga but I'm going to wait for Bunratty a little closer to home to be my first of 2012

Edit: I just looked at the field for the Bunratty Masters (which I will be nowhere near obviously) Surprised ...

There are indeed plenty of clubs around Dublin, but they mostly play on specific evenings, not all of which suit my schedule! Not a bad idea though :)

I was looking at the Bunratty tournament too, but it might be a bit of a pain to travel to and from each day. I did not realise that Adams and Short were playing though - I may have to pop down for a day, if only to spectate!
