Is HANS a GM ?
Chess.com banned Hans after beating Magnus. Why?
He looks kinda like a cheater, you can see it in his hair and eyes, so I don't really blame Chess.com for making a judgment call.
If he gets a hair cut and cleans himself up a little they'll probably let him come back.
Are all of your opinions based on bias?
Let me guess Einstein was also a cheater because of his wild hair cut......
And if you wear a suit, like Putin, you are a nice guy?
Hmm, you may be on to something. Yes, Einstein was a cheater. I never noticed the hair similarity between the two.

Putin is not the only one wearing a suit -_-
just saying...
Is HANS a GM ?
YES. He reached to IM without a coach.
That is always a bit misleading. He did not have a personal coach, but he most assuredly was getting coaching.
As two experts on statistics who have been employed by FIDE said, the problem with publishing data that hasn’t been thoroughly investigated is that people jump to conclusions not supported by the data.
We don’t know. But there are some interesting statistical questions that we can probably answer with rigorous analysis.

If only the WHO and CDC has done that over the last 3 years ...
I’ll swipe at the low pitch. WHO, CDC and all the big drug companies did tons of analytical research. The vaccines ended up being the most heavily tested vaccines in history.
I mention this because social media would have us believe things that are demonstrably untrue. But if we check the statistical analyses, we often approach the truth of a matter.

The joke wasn't that they did not do research, but they kept releasing it piecemeal, incomplete, and hiding results they thought the public would not like. If they had waited to collect and analyze the data before releasing statements, they would have avoided a lot of issues.

No way the figures are rigged I guess?
These websites and apps know so much more about us users and players, than most of us realize. I've worked in this field and have some awareness. They know so much about us, from browser fingerprint data and other kinds of meta data. When we click Agree to chess.com terms of use, we agree to so much spying and passing along of data information. For example I would guess they know about alternate accounts, when those are logged in and logged out and back in with another account.
Most of this is for pretty good reason. It's to make the site and apps safe to use, free from cheating as much as possible, and also for marketing purposes. The point is, they know who we are, a lot of info about the computer we're playing on, if you're downloading a game's save files, if you're jumping to other tabs, and other forms of information that can help put pieces together.
The data is there, believe me. So if they say they have the evidence, they probably do.
