Some people sleep bad knowing there are players lower than 400..500 points, here we have the guy who seems to not sleep well because of "cowards" declining rematches...

I think the only one losing sleep here is you. You seem fully invested in every bit of drama on this platform.

I would love to disagree with you, but am afraid I cannot.

I accept rematches 95% of the time, some times I don't have time.

Ok cool. What's your point?

sometimes people are actually busy, wait really?

Well my post is not about people who accepts rematches '95% of the time'... learn to read with comprehension

Fair enough, but nobody is obligated to accept a rematch.

There is a good reason for the current format of single games.

Cool, but what about the request for a best of 3 format that’s been asked for over the years?

For the record I think I was the first to recommend it, I am not against it, but only wanting one game doesn't make you a coward.

It actually does make you a coward if you're scared to face the same opponent more than once

Some people like rematches, some don't, maybe some are cowards, but some have good reasons. I personally love rematches, and offer a lot of them, I don't lose my temper when they decline, only when they abort.

Mid-KnightRider

Perhaps you should add people who accept rematches as friends, and play them more often.

Thanx for reading, keep following

I’m not following you. I simply made an assumption based on your original comment. And judging by this response, it turns out I was right.

Mid-KnightRider

We should send a message to martin stall requesting the "best of 3" format.

It’s not about anyone losing their temper. It’s simply about fair play and keeping chess competitive and fun.

Nah. A sitewide best of 3 option would be better. No need to be friends

It would be better, but nobody who has posted here can give it to us, just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

I think chess.com is just trying to protect the cowards feelings... that’s probably why they haven’t implemented it yet. What other reason could there be?

As of rn there is no rule in place obligating you to accept rematches if you can, and thus it is not about fair play.

PErhaps that they have never been asked.

Mid-KnightRider

only one way to find out.

By fair play I mean both players getting a chance to play with both colors

Fair enough, I still don't see anything wrong with asking.

Search the forum and you'll see 100s of request for it over the years. Search google. Search reddit. The facts are there.

They are, now we just need to shove them in there face.

The local Fair Play Policy is here: https://www.chess.com/legal/fair-play

There is nothing about rematches

I explained what 'I' meant by fair play. You can continue pretending to not see or understand it.
