chess.com is polluted with no skilled flaggers

I coached a high school chess team and was US Chess Federation Tourament Director for my county's high school tournaments.  After 5 rounds, we gave out a ton of trophies (unrated, under 800, under 1000, etc.) and there would always be ties for some trophies which were played-off by unrated 5-min blitz games.

I taught my players to NOT fall behind on the clock in the blitz games unless it was a really crucial position.

I suggest you do the same. If you are losing to lower-rated players due to your flag falling, perhaps there are aspects of your game that are NOT as good as those lower-rated players or not good enough to allow you to win in the time allowed: so play fast!

Or play with a slower time control.
