Chess.com or Lichess?
For me it's chess.com for Daily games. For tactics it's lichess because you can play through the entire game to see how the tactic developed. For all that other stuff. It's books.
It's bad enough that you can only play 3 puzzles a day. and they don't smoothly increase in difficulty. the first two are always softballs, followed up by a 110mph burner to knock you off your streak. but this morning my streak of nine disappeared, reset to 1 even though i got the first puzzle.
whereas at lichess the puzzles are free, and you can see the puzzle sources, they smoothly progress, and streaks don't arbitrarily reset. My personal best there is 40. i'll never hit 40 here, not even if i buy a membership, and why would i?

This is the last puzzle you missed.
It doesn't seem like a 110 mph burner. It was rated 1533. I am surprised it was not rated 500.
It looks like your last 25 puzzles have all been in the same 1400-1550 rating range. I didn't see a single "burner" in the group. You are rated 1769, so they should all be pretty easy for you.
It is upsetting when a streak ends but I don't think you can blame the puzzle.
The major reset they did 3 weeks ago aimed to get puzzle and player ratings more accurate. It looks like your rating has improved by 50 points over the last three weeks. I haven't seen any statistics since the reset but I would guess that level of increase is above average.
You might consider increasing the difficulty level occasionally-- just to see what it is like.
THIS IS SUBJECTIVE!
Personally, I like lichess but I feel like chess.com is more organized, better UI and lots of customizations plus its green. Though, has its cons.
It's up to you to decide.
i guess i just stink at puzzles
Yes. There are some very popular time controls. 90% of the games played here are either 10 0, 5 0 or 3 0.
They have tried adding more and different time controls but few people play them.
/ What custom time control are you trying to play? Do you set the acceptble rating range for your opponents as wide as possible? (At least plus and minus 400?)
Chess.com. Different bot personalities to train against, more interesting forum community, and I enjoy the UI for playing here.
Maybe it's because I was on Lichess first, but the GUI is so much better on Lichess. Chess.com reminds me of Yahoo! chess and AOL. Hey Chess.com: the zips called and they want their GUI back, lol. Although thankfully chess.com allows you to use a different board than the awful green without paying. Also, all the free stuff on Lichess is better than on Chess.com. From game analysis, tournaments, multiple time controls, stats, chess variations...
