Chess.com or Lichess?

Interesting that my feelings are the exact opposite.

Premoves on chess.com are better, and for that reason I choose chess.com (not to mention all the learning material and sheer mass of players to play here compared to lichess)

I understand; there’s definitely a lot of cheating, especially during school holidays. It would be great if I could choose to play only against users with a FIDE ID on both platforms. The FIDE ID wouldn’t need to be publicly visible but could serve as a form of identification for the webmaster.

I doubt that more than 0.01 percent of users have a FIDE ID.

I’ve never tried Lichess, so I have to say chess.com.

Chess.com game reviews are perhaps better for your chess-playing morale. They tell you when you got it right - "great", "brilliant" etc. Lichess reviews only tell you when you got it wrong. "Blunder", "Miss" and so forth.

Lichess, less cheats, and they do more about cheats when they find them.

Also, idk if this is something but usually when I play on lichess I play way better then on chess.com. This may be influentiated by the simple GUI of the lichess, while the GUI of the chess.com is kinda distracting. But that's only my opinion..

I don't know if the scoring system is the same, but I struggle to get above 950 on this account (the other chess.com account I have is a little above a thousand but potential to drop below 1,000 is there). My Lichess account is comfortably above 1,000.

Ten years ago, an opponent of mine on Lichess had their account closed for cheating rapidly after we played.

Five years ago, Lichess took no action against a player I reported several times and who later confessed when they cheated in a rated tournament.

Several who cheated against me on chessdotcom have been banned this month.
