Why do I see some 1000s play like 2000s and vice versa?

you will see there is almost no difference in level of play between 200 and 2300 on this site. around 70% accuracy

I beat basketstorm so fast his accuracy couldn't have dropped below 70. Meanwhile, your games actually last over 20 moves, so your accuracy will be slightly worse. Also average accuracy at 2300 is like 77. Basketstorm is just so bad he gets checkmated before his accuracy can go down too far.

you're hard stuck 1500 in blitz. either chess.com ratings are rigged or you're literally a beginner.

Join the forum Stopping Trollers. We can start a club or petition to get people like Hanging Pieces removed from at least the forums. If enough people protest, the mods have to do something about it.

The reason you see some 1000's players play at a much higher skill level, is because these types of 'high players' in the 2000's like to create new accounts and play low level players just to win. They mask themselves as low level players. They are very sad and bored people that just enjoy winning. It's like playing one on one basketball with a disabled guy in a wheel chair. Sure you are going to win, but it's quite sad.

Accuracy doesn't necessarily equate to quality of play. In lower levels, it's easy to be accurate at times because players would sometimes just let you do your thing. It's easy to be accurate when you're outclassing your opponent. Sub 1000 players would sometimes fall for the scholar's mate or certain gambits. Sometimes, they tend to resign when they hang 1 or 2 pieces. I would imagine that in those cases, their accuracy could be high.

One more thing is that you need to look at the games individually. For the sake of discussion, let's assume that there's two games. One is high elo, one is low elo. In the high elo game, it's 70% accuracy but the blunders he made just cost him a pawn, a minor piece, or a positional advantage. In the low elo game, it's 70% but in that game, the queen was hanged.

Both could show up as 70% but it doesn't say how serious the blunders/inaccuracies are towards the game. Accuracy doesn't tell the whole story.

Respectfully, stop spamming the forums. Report them to the appropriate channels. These are accusations that the forum isn't fit to handle.

It's weird when someone publicizes accusations and just expects the public to carry out vigilante justice.

This is even more nonsensical than basketstorm saying the rating system is oppressive. If everyone is actually 2000, then where does the rating distance come from? Wouldn't the ratings barely change because everyone is drawing?

also I thought everyone collectively agreed Game Review is nonsense made just to encourage people to get premium.
