No this is serious.

For a person that plans on becoming at least a CM inside of 3 years, how does taking back moves give you incentive not to keep blundering?

ChessieSystem101

what would be more realistic wuld be a takeback offer

Lord_Hammer

Takebacks are BS.

We should have takebacks because everybody makes mistakes and sometimes people are winning but they blunder. Everybody should get 5 takebacks a day, except the rich and people with chess.com memberships, because they have greater opportunities in learning chess. Members will be penalised on how much they spend on their membership and the rich will be penalised based on their income.  Also, there should be a feature giving away takebacks and buying takebacks at the price of a takeback per american dollar. If enough people agree, then I will start a petition.

Chess.com should give me unlimited lifetime takebacks for starting this idea. Fide should use it too.

calm down comrade, lol.

penalizing paying customers and rewarding nonpaying ones is a pretty bad business strategy and, in case you didn't notice, chess.com is a business.

btw Mark Zuckerberg has an income of 1$ per year.

gee, i wonder what that"other" compensation was.

please understand you pretty much lose all credibility when you state zuckerberg makes $1 per year but then show how he actually receives $22 million.

if i were to guess which one is right, it's probably the millions, 'cause most folk can't survive on $1/year.

The point flew right over your head, but that's ok

Sometimes trolls don't eve realize that they're trolls

If you are actually serious about making takebacks a part of chess.com games then I, who blunders a lot myself, strongly disagrees. When you are playing chess everybody makes mistakes but if you allow people to instantly fix them after the opponents move then the player who who made the mistake never learns to fix this kind of play. Also tricking people into doing things under time pressure and playing risky like that is big part of the game. Please do not add takebacks to chess.com games.

Yo mama shoulda taken you back to the adoption agency.

wrong thread..

Take backs will be the draw death of chess if they are allowed. Takebacks mean no screw ups. No screw ups mean all draws. All draws mean chess gets boring and people stop playing it.
Ziryab

Takebacks can be useful in teaching games, which should be unrated. But not for regular competition.

Arisktotle

I agree with Kenny-Ji. Chess.com should have taken back his account on the day it was created.

BigBroChess

@selrahc1 I agree. And plus you have to suffer the consequences for making a mistake. It's the way of life, so deal with it.

BigBroChess

@Arisktotle OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

BigBroChess

Kenny-Ji is a newbie, which explains why he/she is so selfish and dumb, and he/she already closed their account, so I think we should all stop?

BigBroChess

I'm sorry if I'm mean, but just saying.

Yeah you are.

Chess.Com should only have takebacks for those mouse-slip moments, really, but I'm not sure how that'd even work.

Maybe just have a limited amount of take-backs, like 1 per game and that's it.
