Chess.com Should pay attention to bullying!

There are so many bullying here! Even when you do report or something , nothing is happening!

Really? I feel like people barely interact on this site actually. But people on the thread are complaining about "bullying" and "sexual harassment". I can't help but feel that this is greatly exaggerating.

That's because bullies know keenly how to circumvent moderator apprehension against them.

Bullies know that if it's obvious. it wouldn't be to their favor. So they have to go about it in a roundabout way, sidestepping confrontation and using built-in plausibility to make it hard for them to be seen as doing anything wrong. Meanwhile, they know that you, the target, will be affected negatively by it... all the while they know they won't get in trouble for it.

Let me give you an actual example from my own. I have a fellow member on here... holds a grudge against me and my cousin. Not naming names.

He goes into an alternative screen name to cause trouble for me and my cousin in the "Roast person above u" off-topic thread.

Just to clarify, it's a silly-hearted off-topic thread game where you're supposed to say something that insults the person above you for laughs.

What specifically happened in that thread: I, a male chess.com member, posted the song-lyrics "Tyre Tracks and Broken Hearts"; a song sung by a Bonnie Tyler, a "biker-chick" FEMALE. What did this begruntled member do in his alternative screen name? He "roasted me" by basically taunting my perceived homosexuality; posting an Arthur Brown song about FIRE and how I was going to be BURNT; that, in accordance to the lyrics, I was " living like a LITTLE GIRL, In the middle of your little world, And your mind, your TINY MIND, ... really BEEN SO BLIND"...

As a companion, the begruntled member posted a picture of my avatar set in flames.... hey, it's the "Roast person above you thread", right? *wink, wink*

Listening to these lyrics, is there ANY DOUBT that, in this context, it sounds like some form of socially conservative condemnation of homosexuality?

Anyways, my protective cousin, Dromina, took it upon herself to best alert the Mods. Their response? They don't see the anti-gay harrassment. The thread was about "being roasted", and these goofy lyrics, sung by the famouse singer Arthur Brown, seems to serve that purpose.

See what I mean? Bullies know how to play their game right. They know how to slyly circumvent reprimand by making themselves seem innocent.... by deploying some difficult-to-accuse credibility to be built into their bullying.
