chess.com, why the dishonesty?

So a couple of accounts of people I know were wiped a while back. One day they were daily chess players ion this app. Then the next day gone. That in its self is a topic. But it is your app, whatever.
What is I have to say slimy or shady behavior is they still show up on my friends list. And 5 mins ago I challenged them.
It said what it says anytime you challenge folks a 3 day game.
So your good with leaving us in the dark to to the truth that you erase accounts but keep them on the books. So, for what, you can then say you have a larger number of users on the app? Where there is smoke there is fire. What other underhanded things do you do, I wonder?

Hello. I think you should clear something up first- what do you mean by “wiped”? Closed? For abuse or fair play? 
And second- are you saying that chess.com keeps such closed accounts and counts them to their total number of users? Thanks.

How is any of it “slimy” or “shady”? Are you suggesting that chess.com has some nefarious ulterior motive if it does what you suggest it does?

Honestly, you sound paranoid about something of no consequence. Also if you challenge anybody they are not obligated to respond and to play with you.

If they had their accounts closed for Fair Play or Abuse, they wouldn't still be on your friends list. You couldn't play them.

Perhaps you are confusing muting with closing. Muted accounts can still play. They just can't message or post in forums.

I think a conspiracy theorists proposing a chess.com conspiracy is relevant to the topic.

The options are either he's pretending to be an idiot (troll) or he's not pretending (he's a full time idiot).

Well, my post basically hinges on whether or not OP will come back and clarify his post. 

Another thing... it's not as if the number of accounts are counted by an independent 3rd party. In other words chess.com can count whatever it wants to count and then use that for advertising. They can do this regardless of whether accounts are "wiped" or "erased" or whatever ambiguous word the OP wants to use.

People stay on my friends list if closed for abuse or fair play.

 

While I'll agree that the OP basically makes a moot point - although I can see where one would think it's shady to close accounts and then count them as active players - clarify, how is he a conspiracy theorist?

Because his profile says 98% recovery rate? He IS wrong. Statistically, it's 99.8%. Because he says why vax? If you would do some actual research based on real science, not some TV doctor, you might learn a thing or two. I can provide you plenty of other sources if you're curious. I'm not trying to be snarky, by the way, but you're the one that brought it up. Oh, and the other guy above you too, I suppose.

In any case, a virus that kills stupid people is something of a blessing. It's too bad there's collateral damage (people who are sick, elderly, don't have access to vaccines, etc).
