Ok, so when I play chess (I'm not the best at it) in the online mode it seems like I lose more than 50 ELO on every game I lose. My friend says he only loses only 10 ELO max. So I made an alt account and the same thing. High ELO loss. It is so high, it's just dumb. How do I fix this?

You just have to play a lot. While they’re still figuring out your elo, you’ll lose more as well as gain more based on your opponent ratings

The site uses the Glicko rating system that includes a variable of uncertainty, called the rating deviation (RD) value. New accounts will have a higher RD and any pool with a low number of games will as well. A high RD value means your rating will change a lot after games, until you get a sufficient number of games played.

So the only way to fix it is by playing  games. As you play, your RD value will begin to drop and your rating  changes after each game will as well. One thing to note, if you have a big gap in play, the RD value will start to increase again.
