Chess for Oldtimers --- Good Idea !
An interesting item that I came across earlier today: One can savor sights and sounds more deeply when one gets really old. It may be the last time you see a sunset, the snow, or know winter. The sea, a lake, all become as in childhood, magical and a great wonder; then seen for the first time, now perhaps for the last. Music, bird songs, the wind, the waves. One listens to tones with deeper delight and appreciation - loving well; to borrow from Shakespeare's seventy-third sonnet: " That which I must leave ere long. " ( from Writer Helen Nearing ).

I can relate, my wife and I always talk about with places we visit. Not sure how much more we can travel (elderly cat) and recently struggling with finances.

I like that savoring stuff idea. How about throwing in another benefit? A growing ability to actually follow the wise dictum "Don't sweat the small stuff ... and it's all small stuff."

only with hearing aids and glasses.
An item re high-tech: " Your refrigerator has crushed ice, a soft-drink dispenser, and an Internet connection, but it still can't remind you why you opened it in the first place. "
Another funny item: " You recall a time when you didn't have to be an Idiot or a Dummy to buy a book ".
