BTW we are all getting older, so did you consider buying a grave site, or did you instead decide to embrace denial ?

i had a friend that told me his father wanted to lessen the burden on those dealing with the aftermath, so he bought a site and a headstone. he even had the headstone engraved, allowing for two spaces after "john doe, 1910-19  ."

my friend told me this story around 2003, and his dad was still alive.

I have a bad habit of putting off unpleasant decisions. I have bigger fish to fry--or ignore--ahead of that one.

About 15 years ago, I thought my dad (born in 1939) was going to die (terrible health for a long time, had pneumonia and other immediate crisis health situations). So I bought a suit and some decent shoes for the funeral. Well, he's still alive. The shoes wore out a decade ago and moths have eaten the crap out of that suit.

ratatouie

SPUDZY, so whats ur point, maybe that moths have to eat to. I know a cheap shot right im awful sry then.

DrSpudnik

No, you miss the mark again, Rat.

ratatouie

if i meaning me missed the mark then why am i still in bounds

DrSpudnik

good for him.

and good for you. shoes? who cares?

DrSpudnik

I care. I'm cheap. If my sister only downplayed and lived in denial, I'd be hundreds ahead of the game. Though I usually think that if you don't waste money on one thing, you'll waste it on another by now.
