I'm looking for a way to help me visualize the moves and results of chess moves in various situations. Specifically I want to read a book describing a series of moves by both sides and follow it visually by entering the moves in an application. I use an IPad, so an iPad app would be ideal.

Can anyone help me?

Risk2012: Thanks for the reply. It looks interesting and I may try it, but it doesn't appear to address the rather simple, basic need I have. I guess I didn't describe my desire very well.  I simply want to make the moves descibed in the book I am reading, both white and black, so I can see the resulting layout of the pieces.  I find that after a few moves I an no longer remember where every piece is located. I could do the same thing on a physical board if I could read a book and move the pieces, but since I am now confined to a bed or wheelchair I have no way to have a book and board in front o me at the same time.

Hopeless6 (still)

Any ideas?

I often do exactly what you describe on the Game Editor on this site...

It's fairly straightforward to use but there's a good guide here...

And the best part is, it won't cost you anything !
