I should say they play chess in Antarctica, although there is no permanent habitation, but anyhow approx. 1000 people in wintertime and approx. 5000 in summertime live there, so when approx 2 a 3 percent plays chess, some dozens players can be there.
Because they live temporarily in Antarctica, and come from abroad, they probably will have that " international " sign next to their name...
On the other hand I think it is a pity that, playing an international opponent, one never knows where they are living or where they come from ( and there are 88.000 internationals on chess.com... )
Other than finding a group here on chess.com which by the way the members seem to be from every where but antarctica, is there any chess ther (tournament, clubs,at least expert level players ) any chess culture ?
