It's from an excellent movie called " The Seventh Seal"...
It's been years since I watched that...nice picture though.
This is chess related only because one of the symbols is the graphic for a variant chess piece. The chess piece is the huygens which is played on infinite chess. (found here - art is by "Pisano").
