Bump. Come on guys don't make me do something for myself here.
Chess in Montreal?

Alright then, there's a park nearby with a bunch of giant chess set . It's too recreational for me though, and once the novelty wears off it's just inconvenient.

Some people are planning to get together July 22 2021 at 5:30 Raymond Blain park (as long as there is no rain) for some chess

Hi, I just started a meetup group for Montreal chess players. Please join so that we can create a fun Montreal chess community: https://www.meetup.com/montrealchess/

Any updates on this?
The group that played at Park Bolduc moved to Kofi Krepe for the winter.

when do people usually get together at kofi krepe?
Yes evenings, usually after 6PM. If the weather is warm check Park Bolduc.

We're having our first Montreal Chess Players meetup on July 6th in Laurier Park. I hope some of you can make it: https://www.meetup.com/montrealchess/
I've just moved to Montreal and was hoping that somebody on here could point me towards a decent chess club. I've found some stuff online, but I haven't so far found an address of a real club. Googling for chess clubs rarely works for me anyway, I always end up phoning a club that's been disbanded for years.
I live pretty downtown, near Saint Laurent street and very close to Saint Catherines, but I'd be willing to go pretty far.
Thanks in advance.
