I looked for a link to this NPR news story in various forums but didn't find it so I'm posting it here: http://www.npr.org/templates/player/mediaPlayer.html?action=1&t=1&islist=false&id=129214019&m=129216642 The story aired today, 15 August 2010, on the radio and runs about four and a half minutes. It features women in chess; the interviewer talks to Irina Krush and others at the St. Louis club. I'm glad the interviewer is male, because it would look awful for a woman interviewer to misspeak IM Sam Shankland's name as he did when he called him Matt. Apparently one needn't be a chess player to commit a blunder.
