I guess you guys really are out of the loop here @ Chess.com, huh?
Chess Insights
another thread was locked in the past few hours because it was discussing ICC in comparison to chess.com. I play at lichess too, but chess.com forums, it seems, are not an appropriate place to discuss it.
I do play at chess.com more than elsewhere.
Yeah I use other sites too, but it's defintely a no-no to discuss them here. They got a little sloppy about enforcing that in the past, but no more. I would expect David, if he's still on watch, to lock this thread too.
Hi,
Yes it looks like chess.com doesn't want competition to be mentioned in their forum threads anymore.
Maybe you could open a blog outside of chess.com and link to this blog in your profile ?

What if Chess.com put as much effort into finishing V3 as they do into the pathetic attempt they make at trying to "hide" what the competition has to offer? Can you imagine how good the site would be then?!
The only thing Chess.com has is the largest community. Which isn't always a good thing. That said, due to the lack of pairing pools on Lichess, I get games of any time control there quicker than here. It's ridiculous. 40+5? 30+30? 3+2? Boom - Just put it in, add your seek to the list and literally in seconds, you're in a game. Every time.
Now, after reading this, go check out the new Achievement System at ChessTempo. Just check out ChessTempo, period, if you haven't in a while. THEN you'll see how truly far behind Chess.com is.

It's often more cost-effective to make people believe you have the better product than to actually build the better product. Objectively comparing features with other products comes at cross with this business strategy.
Of course, as a customer, when chess.com says : "I don't want you to comment on competitor's offers in our forum", my immediate reaction is : "oh, then the competitors are better, else chess.com wouldn't fear the comparison".
It's also funny that the site owner claims he is a liberal and forbids this kind of discussion.

This is a new, innovative, groundbreaking feature on Lichess. Any plans for in depth statistical data tracking to be incorporated in V3 for Chess.com?
Now that sites like Lichess, ICC, and ChessTempo are all doing this, it almost seems standard.
