Just imagine if you could go back to post #19 and start over again. This might have been an interesting thread.
Chess is 100 percent tactics

You might play like Karpov for 39 moves and get your opponent into a lost position. But without being able to carry out the tactics necessary to exploit your advantages those 39 moves may not matter.

Here is one of my favorite Karpov games. Karpov plays an amazing game keeping a bind on Black well into the endgame but is also very alert to Black's tactical chances.

Bullet chess is 30% Premove, 30%Duel of Connection Quality 10% tactics and 30% race to ran away after won on time
Here's a hint: Life is not 100% IQ. Although I'm afraid your IQ is so high that it would take us far too long to break through your ego and help you reach the level of wisdom and understanding.

If bullet and blitz is no chess, why is the 7. best chess player in the world Hikaru Nakamura also the best bullet and blitz player on Chess.com ? Didnt you say that its just about premoving and running away?! You are completly wrong...
The point about bullet and blitz is, if you are already a strong player, you can be good at bullet and blitz. But if you are a class player trying to improve, bullet and blitz are not going to help you any more than reading Facebook will help. At that level, bullet and blitz are just ways to spend some mindless time forgetting about your problems.
Computers prove to me that tactics are really what chess is about. and perhaps 99% is an understatement, The only point of playing a "positional" move is so that the tactics work out for you later.
If you are like me you have played hundreds of games where you outplayed your opponent strategically in every way maybe even going up a pawn and yet still losing the game to a simple tactical cheapo, you will understand that any real strategy in chess has to do with being tactically sound first and foremost.
So yeah this thread is a bit about semantics, and I think that you could say chess is 100 percent tactical.
