You can't neccisarily say that chess came from any one place at any one time, because the only way we could know that is if we had a time machine.

maybe someone did, they went back to find the answer and in asking the ?s invented the game

Then why would there still be an argument about where and when chess was invented?

because the argument is why he invented the time machine so he could answer the ? if theres no argument theres no time machine

@ phelon........Yes we do have time machines in a way. Computers are so smart the can figure out what happened years ago..

Have you ever watched sand stone be changed by wind , rain its quiute extrodinary and you can tell a lot about an area by this

Petroglyphs found in caves, pottery excavated from the earth, People Tryst sweeps out of the bar at night they all tell a story !

Actually ... very few people know that, when Henry Ford first advertised his Model T, he actually referred to the automobile as a "time machine."

Also, that specific phrase appeared in an advertisement poster in the 1900s, which is very collectible today; there was a near mint poster that went up for autction in the 1980s at Sotheby's that sold for over $70,000 which wasn't a record but it was unheard of, for a poster at that time.

The poster showed a flapper girl next to a brand new Ford Model T that rested in semi-profile. The caption above and beneath the image reads:

"Ford's Model T ... Your Own Time Machine ... Arrive at your destination ...

                                      ... ... Sooner in the Future !!"

I found a poster of one on-line.

Technically our eyes are time machines because what we see has already happened and is a past event.
