They are both speaking the truths. Good for one is bad for the other.
The rabbit is fast, but the turtle lives a very long time. Add the distance, it is equal.
"Live fast and die young." is a saying.
"Live long and prosper." is a saying.
Now real life lesson.
Pimps call regular women "squares", or regular people working a 9 to 5 job "squares". A square brick fits into other square bricks to form a wall. Square is conformity, boundaries. That is a bad thing.
Ying will try to denigrate Yang, vice versa.
By calling regular people "squares" he's trying to denigrate regular people and present what he has as something of higher value.
It's a trick. He's trying to impress you that he has a higher hand, to use a cards metaphor.
The strength of the square is that it can unite with other squares to form a formidable wall.
Ying and Yang have their strengths and weaknesses.
But the pimp is trying to trick you into thinking he has a higher hand by nanme calling your hand in a negative light.
Old, childish trick. It still works.
