Some people say chess is a game of luck which is totally stupid as hard work matters a GM 2700 elo will almost always beat a 2500 or lower rated opponent it is just like other sport where a pro is a pro no luck but talent and hard work
Why do think . People are here to play chess , what does it matters u with . Some people like playing chess some don't . Some facts may be not true, but some opinions turn into facts ( if they are very high skilled at chess) it doesn't matters u , that's it . 😉 😉 😉.

Chess is not a game of luck, however like many real sports (of which chess is not one) it does contain an element of chance... one can't control which moves one's opponent plays.
I have seen very high rated GM loose to a lesser opponents just because of a very careless move soo it is a game of luck and sometime it is a game of opportunity and sacrifices as well as a game of strategic tinking
