Do you mean lack of patience by negative patience? If yes, engage in activities that can calm your mind, then solve puzzles☺

solving puzzles can get you irritated at times, do enough puzzles to either get bored or irritated then take a break, don't push yourself when mad for the puzzle's difficulty

Haha it sounds like heating the water to boil then dousing the water on fire! But really both are great for both chess and mind👌

agreed.

Don’t sacrifice your bishop pair early on and try to value that passed pawn

You learn from your mistakes, you can't win without losing

I know the OP is long gone, but this person only had an account for two weeks. I don't know any activity where you can become good or even competent in such a short amount of time. Chess rewards people who not only put the time in but have the patience to study the game seriously and to learn from their mistakes. Also some people have a natural ceiling that they cannot move beyond no matter how much they play. 1600 elo is a stumper for a lot of people, others cannot move past 1200 or 1000. I see elo as a way to find the people who will give me the most competitive games with elos close to mine. Enjoyment is more important to me than improvement, which could be why I have not shown much improvement.

You don't need to give up your rook for that passed pawn. Just slide the rook away.

Ultra_Chessman101

Why? Why didn't I realize? Why didn't I realize nobody asked?

i think That Castling Queenside is bad BECUASE IT WILL BE AN AGGRESIVE Game Where u push the King side Pawns to Get the king Exposed and ur opponent will also Push the pawns in the Queen side. if u lose the race Checkmate is almost sometimes Unstoppable.

Castling Queenside does not mean aggressive game. Opposite side castling is. If both sides castle queenside, it's not a very aggressive game, is it. And if you're too scared of an attack, just castle on the same side.
