chess leagues and teams in New York City

hi everyone
I'm moving to new york in the new year from London. I currently play in the london chess league and was trying to look for a similar set up of clubs/leagues in NY. However some half-assed googling can't seem to find anything other than clubs, who don't appear to be in leagues. Is there anything like a league in place over there, or is it all just tournaments?
Any help appreciated!
