I'm skeptical of all these retroactive "celebrity" ratings from Humphrey Bogart to Fidel Castro. Maybe Stanley Kubrick and Sting's are somewhat accurate. The rest of your post I agree with.

I don't dispute that. His actual talents were probably exaggerated as well.

Yeah probably, considering we only have like 2-3 games of his.
