Just a word of warning from experience: listening to loud music and looking at the screen too much can cause continuous headaches... I am personally trying to learn moderation by dividing playing into parts first doing 15min of lessons x4 times/day and only after the lessons some playing (with background music). But not too much. Having breaks & some fresh air is super important! Perhaps playing some OTB if possible.

If I have music I can't hear the opponent move and lose focus

Lol you're welcome! Sometimes one can forget about health, eating, sleep, fresh air, personal hygiene etc. while too addicted to online chess and listening to music... It's just good to remember there's life outside of it too. Having a clear schedule and not just randomly playing too much has helped to realize it was just too easy to play too much before. No wonder I have been up & down with ratings when I didn't have a good moderation system. At least I hope that a schedule will help with that too: going patiently up without rushing and making stupid mistakes. Earning my playtime with doing lessons first and therefore respecting the game time more.

So I I am a chess bullet player and recently I started listening to music as I play,I noticed music and chess normaly results in a win!

I was surprised because I originally thought it was going to be distracting, but it seems to make you win!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xx0s147Xj4

you might think its a coincidence but its happened to me too many times and I dont think so

Try it yourself! I recommend fast up-tempo songs to keep you alert if your playing bullet. My top pick is a song called Dragostea Din Tei for bullet

you dont of course have to pick this song but it seems to work for me beacuse its my favorite!

so maybe try your favorite song too!

GOOD LUCK

It depends on what music you're hearing, if you're hearing classical or something like that, maybe you actually rly have more chance to win, 'cos it would make you feel better. But if you're hearing like loud, bumpy, sharp music, you probably would blunder more often. So...it depends. I've rly tried it before...

i play normally bullet so classicle wouldnt work lol
