Chess on games consoles

Hi,

Does anyone play chess on their game console? Is there actually any point to that, now we've got so many resources here and other places on the internet? Is it better than playing on a phone or tablet? The only chess game on a console I have is Sega Chess for the Sega Master System:

Are there chess games for more modern consoles? (I know there's chessmaster) Do they actually improve on anything, apart from maybe sharing games and whatnot online? (I mean, chess is chess isn't it? Laughing)

Thanks

Yes, I play Chessmaster for the PS2. It's a really good game because it has lots and lots of learning material from Bruce Pandolfini, Josh Waitzkin, John Nunn, Yasser Serawan and others. If you have a ps2 I would recommend picking up that game for all the classes in it.

I played Chessmaster on NES. It's actually quite legit and powerful chess program. But very slow by today's standards of course.
