Chess on TV

A part of me misses these times. Resources were more limited so you paid attention to every radio broadcast, televised game, newspaper article or match book. There is a glut of resources available on every medium for free nowadays that chess information is simply neglected. What is worse is that the valuable and educational information is overwhelmed or buried by the deluge of everyone else’s opinion.

BBC: The Master Game (in UK) was fantastic. Also the coverage of the 1993 World Chess Championship (Kasparov vs Short) on UK channel 4 was great....remember rushing home from school each day to watch those live- some still onYouTube.

For UK / BBC Iplayer viewers, "The Seventh Seal" is now showing.  I'm not sure who can get it outside of the UK.
