actually, since months , i have been in 1200 range in blitz. i want to improve my rating as well as fix my weakness.

one of the advice which i have heard is that i should play some other opening

for example, when i am white, i always play e4 so, i must start playing d4 to improve myself .

for white, i got that i must play d4 to improve but which opening should i choose as black to fix my weakness ?

earlier when i started to play to chess, i used to e5 no matter whether black played d4 or e4 or something else.

then i switched to sicilian against e4 and against d4, i played d5. ( not nizmo-indian variations)

so please kindly help me regarding which opening as black should i play to improve and fix my weakness?

keep e4, it is a great opening. however, if you wish to challenge yourself, play the bird.

look into the pirc or czech defense both have great potential for defense with more then enough attacking opportunities.  white really has to keep the pressure on or will quickly be in an equal position.  both structures work in theory for d4.  I've been playing around with the sicilian lately and found I don't score well with it.  oddly I favor more closed systems which seems in opposition to my personality Smile

Try the KIA. It's really interesting.

Openings are not that important... yet. Against everyone I play OTB I hold my own in the opening oreven get an advantage, even against guys several hundred points higher than me. I love openings and study them too much. But I get out played the next two phases of the game. Pick some openings you have fun with. The rest is tactic and strategy.

Always open for white with either e4 or Nf3.For black go for e5 or Nf6

1. e4 e5 with black. It might look like alot of theory (white has ALOT of ways to deviate from the ruy, or might just play the ruy and get a small advantage), but study it, and see where you were wrong (and right) in the opening. After a year, you will be happy when you meet a non-ruy reply. Then select a reply against the ruy. I like the berlin, but mainline is probably even better.

1. d4 d5. Same reason as 1. e4 e5. White keeps a small edge, but if you play the QGD, after a few months, you begin outplaying white.

With white, 1. e4 is best by test (Fisher said that) (actually, on super-GM level 1. d4 scores around 1% better). I play 1. e4, have played that my whole life, and it's fun.

Don't ´forget to analyse your games, GM games and to study tactics. It is, and continues to be, after a few thousand years, the best way to improve.

Chessbond, I saw your request over at aww rats. Any good opening is fine, if you like e4 play it. Just learn the openings you commonly face, and some of the traps in those openings. For better Blitz though, tactics are key.
