For me, chess is totally 100% harder. i mean, at school, youre honestly still learning the stuff you learned 4 yrs earlier at preschool. at least that's my case, in preschool my teachers went way ahead with us. But... chess takes a weekend to learn and several lifetimes to master, and school takes 1 second to learn the stuff there and takes maybe a decade? to master. also, you cant "learn" school. dunno, but it doesn't make sense. and @staminapoints23, i totally agree with you. with everything you said about school being more important than chess but chess being way harder... but to be honest, you can technically get a job playing chess... like going to tournaments, winning lots of money... but often, you wouldn't really do that full time and i doubt you'd be _that_ good at chess when you got out of college. but, you could be like a chess coach for a school or club or something like that. Also, @EndgameStudy, everyone _is_ born differently. and, well, a lot of people don't think that way, and i am sort of one of them. i do like playing chess just for fun, though... but sometimes the only place i can really find good opponents is at tournaments, so...
Also, chess is just really hard, so...
Chess isn't 100% harder... it's, like, 300% harder or something like that... yeah... and im not even talking about GM-level chess, just maybe M-level chess, or even just CM-level chess..
