The origin of Chess...
The game was introduced to southern Europe in the tenth century by the Arabs, but it is not known where exactly it was invented. It derives from shatranj or chatrang, which is itself the Persian version of chaturanga from classical India. The current rules were established at the end of the 15th century. Chess is one of the most popular puzzle games in the world.

Modern Western chess doesn't look anymore like Chaturanga. En passant, pawn can advance 2 square from ah2 or ah7, promotion to queen or any choice, stalemate, castling. Again I agree with Woolly Western Modern chess originated in England 🐱🤞
