What is the longest series of moves which you can play (irrespectively of what your opponent does) and not lose? Let's say it is for white.

What I had in mind is a serious opponent trying to win.

Yes, of course. What I had in mind was a quiz a kind of puzzle. Just for fun. And, importantly, you do need to think to solve it (i.e. to make up the longest possible series of moves which cannot lose)!
