Hey Gamesaremylife. I am in the same boat as you were, one or two years ago (I can't tell by the context of your writing if you were a proactive junior or a procastinating senior). I am a sophomore, so I still have time. But I am curious about what you did for yor project. Did you stick with the chess related topics or did you find interest in something else and based your senior project on it?

Hey Ethan. So I did end up sticking with the project, but it didn't really amount to much. The graders became very lenient about the whole thing, solely grading it on the final presentation. I attributed my 30 hours to my many games at the time and studying with books and online resources. I presented on the familiar jargon that chess players know and used that in describing the process of solving tactics puzzles so people could get an inside look on some of the analysis required to learn chess. I guess the actual product in the end was a short seminar on chess thinking for non-chess players
