Changing the scoring system is probably on a par of ridiculousness along with such ideas as changing the stalemate or repetition rules so that one side wins. Chess will never be a big spectator sport no matter what rules you change, so stop trying to turn it into one.

I don't think changing the point system is really changing the current game.
It is difficult enough the way it is .No more changes please.
The football system 3 for a win might however be a good idea.
