Well since the title of your topic is "Chess tactics" I thought I would discuss that. I think that repeatedly going through chess tactic puzzles will really help your game! (as it did for mine)
A great resource to practice chess tactic puzzles is the "Chess Tactics Server", you can find this at http://chess.emrald.net/
Ok, so I have been trying to study the whole game of chess (openings,mid-game and endgame) and have come across some different strategies that keep coming up such as King’s/Queen’s Gambit, Ruy Lopez and Sicilian. Now I understand the basic principle behind the king’s/queen’s gambit, being that you want to sacrifice a piece to gain better position in the middle of the board. However, other strategies I am not so familiar with, so I was wondering if everyone could post strategies that you like with an explanation?
Thanks for any replies
