I agree with this.

And of course the posting about 'actual' solving does not mean people can't have opinions.
Can opinions be objective?
Of course they can.
Its my opinion that solving chess would take a computer much more than 1.5 trillion trillion years.
That's an objective opinion.

Back to crazytown, I see. I have never referred to spurring any downward progress from you, nor is there any reason to do so. Your trajectories are self-generated, always.

I have reported your verbal abuse and I'm not going to comment on your infirmities except to say I knew you can't hold it together.

That's not verbal abuse, and your assumptions of all your "enemies" being the same person is what constitutes an inability to keep it together.

Now, everyone kindly stop talking about me in their narratives. It's a little creepy to log in and find a bunch of meaningless back and forth with your name being bandied about as a point of contention. Some might say it feels harassing.

AI vs chess champion, or grand masters of chess what is last results ?

From web : The Ponomariov vs Fritz game on 21 November 2005 is the last known win by a human against a top-performing computer under normal chess tournament conditions.

Today AI is far more advanced , ...

So i think in term of playing is SOLVED ! by AI .

In term of combinations and calculations some says can be calculated more...

but seems those are not practical positions !!!

playing is SOLVED. end of story!

I don't have enemies in the sense you mean. There are people who want to get me banned permanently not because I'm really a troll but for other reasons. Why should that be?

So maybe I can out-argue a few people with ease and maybe have a wide knowledge base to rest it on. What's the big deal? It happens all the time between people but most don't start feuds about it, so what IS the big deal? I don't try to argue with people unless they are talking rubbish but also forcing it down people's throats.

Here it happened because you, Dio, claimed to be infallible by arguing that opinions are not relevant to solving chess.

Yet you were expressing an opinion and, what's more, attacking people with it. It doesn't matter who and that's what you did. Then came a charade where someone pretended to think I was criticising him. It was all set up and basically, how many people do you imagine you took in? So I've contacted a moderator to ask what he thinks of it.

What I'm wondering, is why I'm such a threat to you? It's obvious that you see me as one. But all I want is for you to be honest in your comments. You've just managed it more or less for a few days. I suppose something had to give?

Some of the people arguing here are apparently members of good reputation, although talking to members in general, one wouldn't think it.

You're never going to escape your delusional narrative. You are neither particularly important, nor capable of out-arguing most posters. The fact that you've started these tirades today based on assuming I am also Playerafar just shows that you should not be listened to by anyone, much less moderators. Now try to let it go and move on...

On the contrary...that's why I don't continue to talk on and on about people after they are muted, etc. It's not a surprise that trolls cannot see anything else in others but their own motivations.

Wonder why you're so obsessed with closing me down, then. I know you'll say "it's my delusional narrative" but the thing is that I'm not.

On a lighter note, do you remamber that old ditty, 21st Century Schizoid Man? King Crimson. Haven't heard that since the 1970s.

I'm not obsessed with shutting *you* down, that's the whole point. Whether the nonsense comes from one source or 50, I oppose it relatively equally. When you're gone, I just cease to care one iota about you. So, what you see as obsession on my part is simply you producing far more than your fair share of nonsense.

Never liked King Crimson. Ostentatious elevator music.

Warning though .... I don't like this .... my brother did, for some reason. Maybe it contains some nifty guitar work but I'm not going to play it to find out. It's the original heavy and not my thing ... either heavy metal or heavy anything.

We can agree on King Crimson but as for the other stuff, why don't you just ignore me instead of continually picking fights, which you've done for years. The only way you can win your fights is by saying the argument was about something else or something I write means I don't understand this or that or endless variations on the theme.

I was happy to see the mods finally banned Dio the other day, presumably due to his engaging in antagonistic, bad faith debates with 4 people in that thread... all over separate issues. It was only a day ban, but it came after he'd been petitioning the mods throughout the thread to target his enemies / acting as if he wasn't deliberately instigating the whole thing. It raised my faith in this place a little bit at least.

King Crimson is prog rock, not heavy metal. You might as well call Yes heavy metal...

The difference being that Yes is a lot better than King Crimson.

Again, I was minding my own business when you and Player started in...you instigated here, and you are continuing it. You can stop anytime.

I like a wide variety of music and some of my favourites are Baroque Classical, including some early stuff like Scarlatti. Also things like Leadbelly and The Andrews Sisters. But the Soft Machine have been long-time favourites, as well as a Jazz-Blues band called Manfred Mann and a Blues-Rock band called the Rolling Stones, before Brian Jones died. Did he slip or was he pushed? And many others.

This is a live one off the Third Album. It's quite long and is, sort of, jazz-rock, recorded about 1970 in New York State. In the first half of the thing, they're more or less talking to their audience to a musical accompiament but then it sort of winds up and gets going. I can listen to this once or twice a year, in among other things.

Oh, my brother knew the bassist, who went solo. This guitar solo on about 1:50 is sublime and it hasn't even got going.
