Exactly! That's why Emanuel Lasker was World Champion from 1894-1921: for 27 years ALL his opponents were ALWAYS just unlucky! Obviously the odds of that happening are reasonable, right?
Otherwise how could Alekhine have been Champ from 1927-46, only interrupted in 1935 to 1937 by drunkenness?
