Just wanted to ask if anyone knew what the difference is between the starter pack and the mega pack?

Am I just getting a larger database with annotated games with the mega pack, or is there also some difference in the software it self?

Also, If I get the starter pack database now will I be able to upgrade to the mega database later, year or two from now.

I believe that the starter pack does not include the mega database, but does include a smaller database. I bought a year old mega database off ebay after I bought the starter pack. BTW, Chessbase 12 is a great product.

There is no difference to the software, that I'm aware of.

Yes, you can always purchase a larger/different database later on.

Thanks. That's excellent news. Then I'll start with the starter package and see how that goes. Then later upgrade if I feel like I'm running low on the 5 million games.
